It's always great to be able to share our story. In this written interview, I share some of our challenges and triumphs during our video production and filmmaking experiences since we started Occulus Films.

Nick, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
'I’ve always been a creative, but helping my brother with middle school video projects sparked my passion for storytelling; specifically, filmmaking.
I was inspired to launch my business when I persuaded my brother that we simply had to come up with a cooler logo and name than what we’d been using. What we had at the time looked quite amateurish – ‘D.L. Productions’ – titled with my brother’s initials. All cool production companies need a cool name and logo, right?
We spent quite a bit of time brainstorming, and ended up using a doodle of a creepy-looking eye that I’d drawn a few months prior. That became our first logo, and Occulus Films was born (though our logo has improved since then). It was always a family business in reality...'"
